A residential project designed around the interplay between natural and artificial light. The home's north-facing orientation called for a scheme that would complement generous daylighting without competing with it — shifting seamlessly as the sun moved through the day.

Open-plan living spaces present a consistent challenge: how do you create intimacy within a large, undivided footprint?
At Scott Street, we addressed this by treating each functional zone — kitchen, dining, lounge - as its own lighting moment. Recessed downlights were deliberately avoided in favour of pendants, wall-grazing strips, and concealed linear sources that gave each area its own character. The result is a home that feels considered from every angle, at every hour.
