A larger-format residence where scale was the defining challenge. The brief called for a scheme that would make generous proportions feel intimate rather than institutional — light as the primary tool for shaping how space is experienced.

Large homes can easily feel like public buildings after dark if lighting isn't handled with intention. At Chamberlain Avenue, we countered the scale by working in layers — ambient sources set low, with accent lighting pulling attention toward texture, materiality, and the details that make a large home feel personal.
Circulation spaces were given particular attention; corridors and entries are often the first spaces you experience, and here they were treated with the same care as the primary living areas. The home feels anchored and warm regardless of which room you're in.
